Welcome to Chenil De La Dordogne

Chenil de la Dordogne Dog Kennels is set in 6 Hectares of beautiful countryside in the Northern Dordogne, close to the borders of both the Charente and the Haute-Vienne and is made up of meadows, woodland and a lake.

It is owned and run by Sharon Chappell who has over 20 years of experience in animal care.

Here at Chenil de la Dordogne we welcome dogs of any breed, young or old, big or small.

I am Sharon Chappell and I run Chenil de La Dordogne.

We have a real passion for animals and their well being.

We are experienced in looking after all breeds & sizes of dogs and have extensive personal experience in large / giant breeds having all of the relevant equipment required to make their stay both safe, and comfortable.

Yes, we are open all year round, and in the winter, each kennel has infra-red heating with timer.

Will dogs under medical treatment be admitted?2018-07-02T11:57:47+00:00

Yes, please inform us at the time of booking or when requesting information.

Is it necessary to bring my dog’s vaccination record?2018-07-02T11:58:24+00:00

Yes, for each stay, we keep his vaccination book until departure, it must be up-to-date.

Yes we can accept them, provided that they are not aggressive or dangerous. We will have to keep the following during their stays:

  • The valid certificate of insurance in the name of the owner of the animal
  • Pet Owner’s License
  • Certificate of Fitness on behalf of the pet owner

Yes bringing your pet’s food is mandatory so as not to alter his / her usual diet, the kennel does not provide food.

Yes, we accept all sizes of dog as long as it is not aggressive or dangerous.
